THE BABY CAME GIVING

*************************************

The baby came giving a place to stay

Mary and Joseph had no place to stay so we let them stay in a smelly, awful cave.

We were alone in the world and Christ came and took us in. He took us into His kingdom, into His life, and into His heart.

We had no place to stay, and He has offered us His home...where we can remain forever.

**************************************

The baby came giving a light for our path

Before Jesus was born, in our world there was darkness, no light to guide us or give us direction.

When Jesus was born there was a star in the east,

A light shone in the sky.

The baby came giving light...for He was and is the Light of the world

**************************************

The baby came giving hope

Sometimes we have no hope. We do not want to admit it. We do not want to admit that sometimes life dwindles down to nothing, and that we live just one day to the next. We do not want to admit it but we live to just get by until tomorrow morning. We do not want to admit that there is no hope in our life. Two thousand years ago, the human race had no hope. Today, people who do not know the Lord have no hope. So Christ gave up His life that we might gain it, and now we can have life and hope everlasting.

**************************************

The baby came giving wisdom

Before Jesus came to earth, we did not know God nor how much He loved us.

We lived in ignorance.

We sinned and did not care.

We wanted power and force.

So God gave us His son.

And His son Jesus gave us peace on earth and love. Then we crucified him.

**************************************

The baby came giving a promised land

Love from Heaven was given to us in the form of a baby. The gift of the Christ child was given to us by His Father and our Father in Heaven. God bestows on us a way to see into the future and see the promised land of Heaven. We can see a promised land not just flowing with milk and honey, but a land where there is no suffering, no pain, no problems, and no worries. We can see a land of eternal happiness...a land of eternal life.

**************************************

The baby came giving truth, a message from God

Jesus was assigned the task of giving to us the words of God. What was born in a manger on that first Christmas night so long ago were messages from God. The word from God became a baby…a human baby that would grow up strong, and become a man. Then this man would tell us about His father, who lives in heaven. We have not seen God, a being who no man has seen because we are not worthy to see Him. Yet, Jesus came to give to man the wonderful words of life, of love, of peace, of joy, of redemption, of renewal, of new life in the here and now, and new life in the hereafter. Jesus said He would come back and there would be no more darkness, no more shadows of death, no more hopeless lives if we would only trust and believe in Him and in the words He gave us.

**************************************

The baby came giving food

Jesus birth meant that God was piling our plates high with spiritual food…the kind of spiritual food that would inspire men and women to overcome the world.

With the food given to us by Jesus we can…

Overcome the pain.

Overcome the disasters.

Overcome the evil.

Overcome the hurt.

We were given on that special first Christmas, food that can keep us going when all hope is gone.

When we have exhausted every ounce of ourselves, we find we have been given food that gives us victory in life.

No matter what the score might be at the end of the game, the food brought to us by Christ gives us victory.

**************************************

The baby came giving love

The little baby Jesus came to give the love of God to the whole world. Not just in cities, or in the country, or just in Israel, or in Jordan, or in the United States, but to every country on Earth. The love has gone out to every person…to blacks, to whites, to reds, to yellows, to browns, to everyone.

The love has gone out to men, to women, to fat people, to thin people, to sick people, to well people, to rich, to poor, to tall, to short, to children, to old folks, to everyone.

But most of all, the love Jesus brought has been given...to you.

All this love was given to the world from a child born where animals were kept.

From a cave where there was darkness, came the Light.

The Light of the world.

**************************************

The baby came giving a prize

The baby came into the world to give us the most wonderful prize…the prize of eternal life in Heaven.

He gave us a prize more important than any earthly prize.

He gave us a prize larger than any human could ever win, no matter what the contest.

Jesus came to give us the prize of life, of hope, and of redeeming glory forever and ever.

**************************************

The baby came giving a way for us to be with God

The baby Jesus came to confer upon man the honor of being able to see, to hear, and to know God the father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We are honored to receive this presence of God in the here and now and later in the hereafter when we leave this earth.

This honor of being in the presence of God is an honor greater than the one bestowed upon the high priest who could stand in the innermost tent of the tabernacle.

**************************************

The baby Jesus came giving...

He gave us a place to stay.

He gave us a light for our path

He gave us everlasting hope

He gave us profound wisdom

He gave us a promised land

He gave us beautiful truth…a message from God

He gave us wonderful spiritual food and water

He gave us a prize

He gave us a way to be with God

He gave us love

He gave us a way to wash away our sin

He gave us values

He gave us forgiveness

He gave us the Holy Spirit

**************************************

He gave us all this and more without any material cost

This baby…

This innocent child from God was not going to cost any person any material thing.

You don't have to pay anything to God to have eternal life.

You owe not one penny to inherit eternal life.

No gold coin can buy Christ.

No land would be big enough or rich enough to purchase him.

Not all the wealth of the world or the treasures of the universe could buy what this child has given to you.

What the baby Jesus brought to you is a gift.

Every man and every woman can now receive what the baby gave.

Even the poorest people of the world can have it yet the richest man cannot buy it.

What the baby brought to your is the love of God through eternal life.

From the darkness of a humble cave, this gift of love was come to make men and women rich.

Rich in life.

Rich in love.

Rich in peace of mind.

Rich in hope.

Rich in happiness on earth.

Rich in a happiness that would last throughout all eternity.

And it is all free.

No money required.

All He needs is your heart.

However, that is the difficult part.

The difficult part is giving him your life and your heart.

Money is easier to give.

To give your heart to Christ, you have to take stock of yourself and your life.

To give your heart to Christ you have to be honest with yourself and tell the truth.

The truth is we have to see that God loves us when we don't deserve it. When we see that Jesus loves us in spite of how bad we are then we come to the alter on our knees.

If you will see the baby, and look into those little eyes...

If you will see the love He has for you…

Even when you sin…

And you are willing to give yourself away to this baby, to live for him, even die for him if need be, that is when you have eternal life.

That is when Love fills your life….

That is when you have the power.
