Christmas Words Of Faith Words Of Faith About Accepting The Christ-child You
are precious to Jesus now as you were precious when you were first born. Like
all persons, you need Christ's help today. In
this busy Christmas season you can be caught up in the holiday. We
can often forget about why we celebrate this precious time of year. We
can get caught up in the rush of things we need to do. We
can get angry and frustrated. We
can worry about how things will not work out. Sometimes
we can even dread this time of year because of all the pressure. Feeling
these negative things is not Christ's will for anyone. We
can be under so much pressure, we can forget about the glory of Christ's birth. We
can get caught up in the world. We
can get caught up in our selfish thoughts and selfish needs. We
know better, don't we? Even
at this most precious time of the year, the darkness can attack you and attack
others. When
the darkness attacks, we make mistakes. When
we make mistakes we need to say "I am sorry Lord." Always
know He forgives you. When
you get into one of these fixes and make mistakes, the Lord will help you take
Jesus as a newborn baby into my arms. Take
Him into your arms and cuddle Him as Mary and Joseph cuddled Him on the night of
His birth. As
you take Him into your arms, the Lord will help you turn away from the sinful
darkness within you. The
Lord will help me turn away from the sinful darkness all around you. The
Lord will help you look into Christ's manger scene when the dark moments come at
you. The
Lord will help you accept Him more each day. When
you are tired and frustrated this Christmas season, the Lord will remind you
about why we celebrate the glory of Christ's appearing. When
you are busy and caught up in what is to come next, the Lord will remind you to
stop for just a minute and kneel down next to Him as you rest in the hay. When
you are weak and selfish, the Lord will touch your heart to reach out to Him so
I can keep Him in my heart all year round. Praise
His Name. Amen. |
