Words Of Faith Words Of Faith About The Hard Truth Of Your Rebellion Like
every human being, you rebelled. You have
always rebelled or you have always wanted to rebel. You
likely did what God told you not to do. You knew
what you were supposed to do but you did just the opposite. You even
knew the consequences of your actions but you rebelled anyway. You have
lived in the palm of the Lord's hand from the day you were born but you cared
not. You have
lived under the Lord's love but you cared not. You
wanted the forbidden fruit. You
wanted what you should not eat. You
wanted what God told you that you should not have. You
wanted what you knew would hurt you. You
wanted what God told you would even destroy you. You
wanted sin. While God
died on the cross for you, you turned away from God and you did not care. While God
died on the cross for you, you turned away and did your selfish and sinful
deeds. Now, you
are ashamed. Now, you
are stricken with your grief. Now, you
are in mourning over your rebellion. How
grievous has been your rebellion! Kneel
here at the foot of the Lord's cross in your grief and mourning over what you
have done. Although
you have rebelled, now you know you are forgiven. Never
forget your rebellion. Turn away
from your sinful darkness and turn to God, your wonderful Lord Jesus…who no
longer sees any spot or blemish in you. You will
not forget how you are a sinner. You will
not forget how you can still be tempted. You can
still fall away. Praise
God, your precious Lord Jesus for dying for you, a lowly and undeserving sinner. Praise
God for pouring His grace and love over you. Praise
His Name. Amen. |
