If you heard God speak, wouldn't He say these words of love?

I know you want to see the victory.

I know you want to see me ride in on the clouds of joy and smash evil and darkness into the ground.

I know you want to see the world worship me in truth and in love.

I know your eyes fail you as you grow older.

You may not live to see me come again.

However, in the meantime, if your body must stop working and your soul comes home, always know I am waiting for you just across the way.

I came to give you eternal life in your spirit.

I came to give you a new life as you live upon the earth.

No matter whether you are alive upon the earth or alive in heaven, you will see me come back.

You will see the evil foe vanquished.

You will see the blind gain their sight, the deaf hear, the lame walk, and the poor made rich in my love and grace,

You will see swords turned into plowshares.

You will see kingdoms of the earth fall only to rise up again in my holy name.

For all this and more, lift your heart up in praise.
