Thank you for your life, for your ministry, and for your death on the cross for me and for all of humanity.
Thank you for being born in utter humility and for this Christmas season we observe to celebrate your birth.
Even when Christmas is not perfect, I know I can come to you and find in you a friend who knows, understands, and accepts I try to do everything possible to glorify your name.
I know many people who live a lonely life, especially so during the holiday season.
I know many people who have few friends or loved ones with whom they can gather at this time of year.
For these people, Lord, for these people, send them the ability to reach out and help others this Christmas season.
In my life and in their life, give all of us the power to celebrate your birth by reaching out and loving each other in your name.
Give us the power to build and nurture friendships the whole year through.
Give us the power to love, understand, and accept each other just as you love, understand, and accept us.
This Christmas, show us the way to trust each other.
This Christmas, show us how to build relationships based upon your love for each of us.
This Christmas, when others need me, let me see the need and let me respond as your child and servant.
This Christmas, when others need me, always show me how I can give a treasured gift of love to them.
This Christmas, help me share the wonder and awe of your being born.
This Christmas, help me put others first in love.
This Christmas, help me show others your birth was a gift of hope, promise, and a vision of eternity we can find in no other place but you.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely.
