A Prayer About A Great Light
Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God,
Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
Sometimes I forget to glorify you in my thoughts.
Sometimes I forget to think about how much power in love you have for me
and for the world.
I am sorry Lord.
Your wisdom and power are infinite.
Your wisdom and power are with me if I would but open up you.
With your hands, you change the seasons.
With your hands, you move nations, leaders, the wealthy, and the poor.
With your hands, you give wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the
discerning.
In your hands, are revealed the deep and hidden things.
You know what darkness lies in the future and you know when you will
return in all glory, power, and might.
In your hands, there is no more doom and gloom for those who are in
distress.
In your hands, there is no more darkness of thought.
In your hands, the people walking in darkness have seen a great light.
In your hands, on those living in the land of the shadow of death, your
light has dawned…your light of promise, your light of hope, your light
of everlasting joy, your light shining brighter than any other light.
I give humble thanks and praise, O God of my fathers, Lord God of Heaven,
my Savior Jesus, for all you have done and for all you will do in the
future.
Thank you Lord, for what I know about you, you have made it known.
Thank you Lord, for what I know about you, you give to me in simple ways.
You are invisible yet I know you and I know you love me.
Just because you are invisible does not mean I do not see you with my
spiritual eyes.
For I do see you with my spiritual eyes, and what I see with my spiritual
eyes makes my heart sing and my spirit lifted up.
For what I see, even with my physical eyes, gives testimony you are real,
you are divine, you are eternal, you are all-powerful, you are
understandable, and I am without excuse.
Forgive me for not glorifying you more.
Forgive me for not glorifying you when all I have to do is look at your
hands working in people and nature to see your glory.
I love you, precious Lord Jesus, Father God, loving Holy Spirit.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus
Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can
rely.
Amen
