A Prayer About Actually Seeing God

Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God, Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit, Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
I know you are there, but I do not see you.
I know the world rests in the palm of your hand, yet I cannot see you working.
I know I cannot see you working in the world for I am so overcome with my own agenda, with my own wants, and with my own needs.
I also know there lurks about me and lurks within me a terrible adversary who seeks to separate me from you.
I am often pushed and pulled by the adversary in directions I do not want to go.
Because I do not want to be pushed and pulled against my will, I seek a greater ability to love you.
I seek a greater ability to love you because I know if I love you more, I will not be so pushed and pulled by the darkness.
In my faith, help me to love you even when I cannot see you.
In my faith, help me put my agenda aside in favor of your agenda.
In my faith, help me to love you more so your power, love, and grace may be increased in the world.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely.
