A Prayer To Ask For Only What Christ
Wants
Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God,
Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
Some days my life is dominated by what I want and what I need.
If I was to actually stand before you in a physical way so I could see you
with my physical eyes and hear you with my physical ears, just like I see
others, I know I would melt down and be speechless before you.
I know, standing before you in this way, I would not ask for anything.
I know, standing before you in this way, I would not want anything but to
do your will.
As I say this, although I am besieged by my selfish wants and needs, as I
stand before you this hour, I have no desire but to bring before you the
wants and needs of others.
I have no personal prayer request for myself, because for myself, I am
silent in love, silent in awe, and silent in adoration before you.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus
Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can
rely.
