A Prayer About Being Endowed With Splendor
Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God, Truly Awesome And
Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
When I was thirsty for your love, you invited me in and gave me drink of
your living water.
When I was in need of your soft and gentle ways, you stood next to me and
poured your love over me so I would be soft and tender as I lived out the
hard and bitter days of my life.
When I was poor you gave me the wealth of your wisdom and love.
When I was hungry you gave me wisdom so I could make money to buy food.
Too often I have spent money on what is not bread.
Too often I have labored on what does not satisfy.
In your love and in the shadow of your cross, I have now learned to eat
what is good and my soul delights in partaking of your manna.
My soul was in the depths of darkness, but you came and rescued me.
Now, my soul fully lives and I rejoice.
Every day I call your name and every day you answer.
Every day I need you and you come to me in my hour of need.
The splendor of your love and of your Heaven I eagerly wait to see.
If it be your will, may I now be given glimpses of the glory to come.
Give to me the ability to think as your think.
Give to me knowledge about your ways so your ways will be my ways.
If it be your will, take my earthly thoughts and sail my thoughts into the
highest heavens.
Take my spirit, and sail my spirit into the highest heavens.
I praise your name for all you have given me.
Because of you, I shall live out my days in joy.
Even when darkness comes to take me down and take my life, I shall have
joy for I know you are nearby and you will never forsake me.
Peace everlasting you have given me and peace everlasting I shall embrace.
Just as the mountains and hills burst into song before you, and just as
the trees of the field clap their hands in joy in your presence, someday
soon I too will burst out in song and clap my hands as we get to see each
other in your heavenly home.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus
Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can
rely.
Amen
