A Prayer About Being Shielded By God's Power

Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God, Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
You, O Lord Jesus, have no beginning and no end.
You are the one who died for all us.
May we now come to understand what you did for us and what we did to you by causing your death.
We are not worthy of your protection, yet if it is your will, protect us so we may try to follow your path for our lives.
If it is your will, in your name and by the power of your blood shed on the Cross for each of us, may there be a shield of protection put around us and may we feel the comfort and warmth of your love.
As our bodies age and wither, as we get sick, as we come to see we are not immortal in our flesh, may your great love and grace be poured out over our souls.
As the world seems to slowly unravel in sin, chaos, and war, protect our men and women in military service who risk their lives to keep us free.
As the power of temptation tries to inflict its harm upon the faithful of your flock, may your great arm come against the dark powers.
As the evil that so infects our world seeks to victimize the children who will someday inherit our earth, may your power, your might, and your love cover each child so no harm shall ever come to them.
May each of us understand that even when our body is torn with pain, that your love, grace, and power stand over our soul.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely. Amen
