A Prayer To Cast Off The Darkness
Most Precious Lord Jesus…
Gentle And Wonderful God…
Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit…
I love you.
I cannot express my love in words but I know you can read what is in my
heart and mind.
Thank you for always being with me.
Lord, today I need a miracle.
I need a physical miracle.
I need a spiritual miracle.
I need the darkness to leave me alone and for your Light to illuminate my
heart and life.
I need to cast off this present darkness in the worst way possible.
I know you love me and I know you watch over me.
I know it is not your will any dark thing would hurt me or the ones I
love.
Yet, I am still plagued by dark times and dark moments.
In this present darkness, as I always try to tell you the truth, help me
find the truth.
Help me find, hour by hour, the wonderful truth you truly are the Light of
the world and the Light of my life.
I know I am not helpless in the circumstances of my life.
I know I can make many choices about who I am, even if I cannot make a lot
of choices about where I am.
Help me make the right choices so I can cast off this darkness and so your
Kingdom will be blessed today.
For each prayer request I utter in my heart, may your heavenly and holy
power be poured out over all those I pray for each moment.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus
Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can
rely.
