A Prayer About Christ And The Church
Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God,
Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
I sit in your sanctuary and I feel your peace.
I sit in your sanctuary and I feel your love.
I sit for just awhile in your sanctuary and I find all my pains are made
less, all my fears are erased, and all my worries are made to be no more.
When I am in your church, make every thought in my mind be blameless in
your sight.
When I am away from your church, keep my whole spirit, body, and soul
blameless before you.
No matter what happens to me or to the world around me, give me the power
to keep your church alive.
No matter what happens, give me the power to deal with problems and issues
like you would deal with them.
No matter what happens, give me the power to give up my ideas, give up my
thoughts, and give up my intentions for the sake of your gathering of
souls called the church.
No matter what happens, turn my ego away so only your will prevails.
No matter what happens, make me less while I do all I can to make you
more.
No matter what happens, help me make the church a radiant church both holy
and blameless, without spot, stain, or blemish in your sight.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus
Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can
rely.
