A Christmas Prayer
About Asking
Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God,
Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
Sometimes I get caught up in Christmas seasonal things and all I think
about is what I will get for Christmas.
Sometimes all I think about is what I will buy myself with the money I
receive.
Sometimes all I think about is what I can get for free from the people who
give things away at this time of year.
So in this moment, let me be quiet, let me think for just a minute about
you, the baby Jesus, who came into the world giving us the greatest gift
of all.
I will never receive a gift as precious as you.
I could never ask for a gift as precious as you.
Thank you Lord Jesus.
Please forgive me for thinking about what I want and what I might receive
this Christmas.
Help me now do what you did when you appeared…give.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus
Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can
rely. Amen
