A Prayer For Christmastime
In this most blessed time of the year, we yield up our life and our all to
you, most gracious Heavenly Father.
We yield up to you our many Christmas
plans, our gift giving, our shopping, our preparations, our parties, our
thoughts, and all our deeds.
We surrender up to your care our friends, our
families, and our associates in hope that they will come to know you as
Savior and Lord.
We plea with thee to make all our actions and thoughts to
be Christ-like.
In all our comings and goings, let us not forget that
because you were willing to come to earth and be crucified, that we have
life in eternal abundance.
In these busy days, give us your spirit of
love.
In these times of anticipation of the celebration of your birth,
remind us of how precious you were as a new born babe and how precious you
still are as our crucified Lord.
May we prepare for this Christmas as if
it was you who were coming to visit.
May we give this Christmas as if it
were you who were to receive the gifts.
For, in truth, it is you, Christ
Jesus, who visits, and it is you who receives our gifts.
All these things
we pray in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
