A Prayer For The Future At Christmas

Precious Lord Jesus, Wonderful Holy Spirit, All-powerful Father In Heaven, let me spend the coming days seeking only to do your will.
In the darkness of the world two thousand years ago you came as the light of the world.
In the darkness of our present world you stand as the only true light bringing love and peace to our hearts.
In your love and grace, may the spirit of Christmas this year be a time when we commit our life to making the days of our future the kind of days you would find pleasing.
May the spirit of Christmas this year be a time when we commit our life to making the days of our future a time of doing your will.
May this Christmas be a time when we commit our future to you rather than spending our time consumed in the selfishness of our present moments.
May this Christmas be a time when we look to the future with hope and plan for the future with a sense of promise…the promise you made to always be with us, even to the end of the age.
May this Christmas be a time when we look to the future and instead of seeing the material things we want, help us look to the future and see your glory, your hope, and your love pouring down upon us in the days to come.
May this Christmas be time when we look to the future as a time when we can count on your humility covering us and guiding us.
In the coming days, may your love be over us, under us, and all around us.
In the name of the Precious Savior, Wonderful Lord God, and the in-filling Holy Spirit upon whom we can rely.
Amen
