A Christmas Prayer About Reaching Out In Love To Others

Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God, Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit, Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
It is that time of year.
It is that time of year when normal people begin to act crazy.
It is that time of year when lights are hung and decorations abound.
Precious Lord, help me to celebrate this Christmas like you would celebrate it.
This Christmas, help me celebrate your birth in humility, in thanksgiving, and in the giving away of love and hope.
You know about how things have gone in the past year.
You know about all my pain, my hurt, my disappointment, my loss, and my stupid mistakes.
You know about my battles against the darkness.
Precious Lord, keep me from being caught up in myself this Christmas.
Help me give your essence of love away by how I act and what I do.
Help me give your hope away to others who need you in their heart just as I need you.
Help me see others who are depressed so I can give them your gift of hope and life to lift their burdens.
Help me give your power to others as they battle against the darkness.
Whenever I start thinking only about myself, make me think more about others and what they need.
Whenever I think only Christmastime is a time of great giving, show me how every day should be a time of great giving in your name.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely.
