A Christmas Prayer About Christ's Gift Of
Power To Follow His Guiding Hand
Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God, Truly Awesome And
Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
During this Christmas season, keep me ever mindful you have come to guide
me during all the days of the year.
Instill in me a greater power to follow you, no matter how difficult
following you may be.
My attention gets diverted.
I am pushed and pulled in directions I know you do not want me to walk.
When I see all the tinsel and lights, remind me you came into the world so
I would follow you and live my life for you rather than living my life for
myself.
Today, the media bombards me from every side trying to get me to be
selfish.
I hear people talk about how I must "Take care of number one."
But Lord, I know this is not your will.
In all the days of my life, touch my heart so I will do only what you want
me to do.
In all the days of my life, touch my heart so I will be only what you want
me to be.
In all the days of my life, touch my heart so I will think only what you
want me to think.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus
Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can
rely.
