A Prayer About Faith And Action

Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God, Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
Never let me boast.
Instead, let me live in humble service all of my days.
Help me be a humble witness.
Help me be a humble guide so others can find you as I found you.
Place in me an aversion to anything sinful.
Place in me an aversion to anything unrighteous.
In my sin, I was in chains.
In my salvation, I am free.
In my sin, I said and thought like a slave.
In my salvation, I speak and think like a free person.
Never let me be blind to the corruption of the world but put in me an eye to see the chaos and pain of living in corruption.
Never let me be blind to sin, but put in me an eye to see the terrible entanglements sin brings to the sinner.
Remind me every hour how your pure ways so divine bring order.
Remind me every hour how your pure ways so divine bring love and light to my path.
In my service to you, help me speak your words.
In my service to you, help me act in ways to bring healing to others in your name.
In all I say and do, inspire me to show mercy.
In all I say and do, inspire me to never judge or condemn others
Many times I have believed I had faith but my deeds were lacking.
In your love and in your will, never let me stop serving, praying, and working for you.
In whatever way possible, may my faith outwork itself so my life enables me to help the poor, to feed the hungry, and to shelter the homeless.
May my faith be filled with action.
May my action be filled with faith.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely.
Amen
