A Prayer To Fan The Flame Of God's Gifts
Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God, Truly Awesome And
Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
For a long time I did not know the gifts you had given me.
For a long time I took your gifts for granted.
For a long time I did not consider my gifts and talents a gift from you.
Even now, I tend to use what I think are my gifts…the gifts I think I
developed on my own.
However, as I look back on my times, I can see the blessedness of using
your gifts.
I can see why you have told me to fan into flame the gifts you have given
me.
I can see how you did not give me a spirit of timidity but a spirit of
power, a spirit of love, and a spirit of self-discipline.
With your power upon me, remind me to testify about you and not to be
ashamed of you or your sacrifice for me.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus
Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can
rely.
