Prayer About Feeling Guilty About Doing Fun Things For
Yourself
Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God,
Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
Stop me from punishing myself by keeping myself from doing what is fun and
enjoyable.
Stop me from destroying myself by keeping myself from relishing the power
and beauty of your creation.
Stop me from taking delight in punishing myself because I have not fully
accepted I am truly a new creature in you.
Remind me how I am not to spend money on myself in any kind of lavish
fashion.
However, remind me I am supposed to spend money on myself if I have needs
relating to my physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual health.
Show me how I cannot bless you by making myself suffer.
Show me how I cannot bless you by making myself live in poverty if I
impose the poverty upon myself because I do not feel worthy.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus
Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can
rely.
