A Prayer To Find God When You Think You
Have Lost Him
Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God, Truly Awesome And
Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
I don't know how to pray at a time like this.
I don't know whether you hear me, Lord.
Not only do I think I am about to lose my mind, I also think I have lost
my soul and lost you somewhere in the process.
I am so distracted by all that goes on around me I have lost touch with
you, lost touch with others, and I've lost touch with myself.
It seems every time I try to be spiritual then something or someone gets
in the way.
I really need your help, Lord.
I really need your help because I am beginning to think maybe you don't
exist.
Well, maybe I'm not that serious but you know what I mean.
Help me to put my soul in your hands instead of trying to shoulder
everything and all of life on my own.
Help me deal with the dizzying array of sights, sounds, temptations, pain,
suffering, stress, fears, worries, doubts, and concerns I face each day.
Help me be the kind of godly person you want me to be.
When Satan comes to distract me and take me away from you, help me to
remain with you and to really and truly call you Lord of my life.
When Satan tries to pull me downward, please, Lord Jesus, pull me upward.
When Satan tries to deceive me, keep me aware of these deceptions and keep
me ever mindful of your truth.
When Satan tries to destroy my spirit, renew me and enrich me in your love
and grace.
When I get lost from you, help me to come back to you and to keep my heart
turned toward your healing love.
When things begin to crumble in my life, help me be honest with you and
tell you all of the truth about everything that is within me.
When I get to points like this where I think my soul is lost, help me give
to others and give to you.
No matter what state my life is in, keep me with you and keep me in your
presence.
Thank you for listening.
I know you care.
I know you love me.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus
Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can
rely.
Amen
