Prayer To Find Happiness Without Possessing Persons Or
Things
Precious Lord Jesus,
Wonderful Holy Spirit,
Awesome God,
I am guilty of trying to find happiness by possessing persons and things.
Yet, in all my trying, I have not found happiness.
Every time I have tried to possess persons and things I have hurt myself
and hurt others.
Instead of my trying to possess, touch my heart so I bless.
Instead of my trying to possess, touch my heart so I see how much of a
blessing persons and things really are.
Instead of my trying to possess, touch my heart so I have your wisdom to
know my days are numbered.
Instead of my trying to possess, show me how what I think I have today
will be replaced with your love in full measure when I come to see you
face to face in heaven.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of the most Blessed Lord Jesus
Christ, the Mighty God, and the Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom we can
rely. Amen
