A Prayer About Finding God
I have lost you Lord. I pray to you and you seem not to hear, not to
answer, not to be present within me. I know you are there but I cannot
find you. You have been with me through many hardships, trials, and
tribulations. Somehow, somewhere, sometime ago, I lost contact with you
and now I need you. On the first Christmas, you sent the Magi searching
for you. Now I am like the Magi, I am searching for you. In your love and
grace, give me a guiding star or a guiding light. I know you are
somewhere. I know you are real. I know the Magi found you, so I know that
I can find you again too. Rid me of this selfish search. Inspire in me a
service to you that will give me gifts to bring to you. I pray all these
things because although I have lost you for the moment, I trust you. I
love you. I believe in you. I affirm your presence in the world and affirm
your presence within me, even as I seem to have lost you. In the name of
Jesus, I lift up my heart to you, knowing that you touch all hearts, renew
all souls, and inspire all minds that come to you and call you Lord.
Precious Jesus, you are Lord. All these things I humbly pray in the name
of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit
