Prayer For A Time Of Defeat

Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle and Wonderful God, Truly Awesome and Ever-present Holy Spirit, Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
I know you are within me, yet I still seek your personal touch on my life.
I know you are everywhere, yet I still seek you outside of myself.
I give you praise and honor this hour.
I want to express my love and gratitude to you yet my expressions are only words in my mind.
I see your power and majesty.
I am humbled by your love for me.
Precious Lord, I need your help.
I am immersed in a time of great defeat.
What I thought I had I no longer have.
The effort of months and years has been washed away in defeat.
Years of my sweat, perseverance, and dedication has been erased.
Contributions I hoped to make seem impossible now.
What I thought were opportunities have been taken from me.
According to your good will and according to your gracious love for me, give me a new vision of good days and good things to come.
Even in my days of defeat, some way, some how, in every moment, please help me show your love to others.
As human beings, we have many burdens to carry in our life.
Although I have burdens of my own, as I look at the needs of others my heart breaks at the many defeats they must suffer in their life.
In your love and in your power, give those who must live in defeat your victory this hour.
I ask you now to help those I bring before you each day in prayer from the list residing in my heart.
Whenever they experience defeat, give them a new vision of victory for tomorrow.
All of us face trials, tribulations, and temptations when we taste defeat.
Help me today.
Help others today.
Let your grace descend upon us and show us how we can never be defeated as we love you and invest our whole life in you.
Lead me by the touch of your Holy Spirit.
To you I give all praise, honor, and glory.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely.
