A Prayer For Others To Know God's Love
Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God, Truly
Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Precious Jesus, I love you.
My world is full of war and rumors of war.
In cities, towns, territories and nations, there is violence, conflict,
and war.
Our world may be on the verge of nuclear exchange where millions will
suffer and die.
Peace seems such a remote idea at this time.
How do we have peace in the world when others want to kill, maim, and
destroy us?
However, even when there are wars and rumors of wars, I know that, in you,
O Precious Lord Jesus, I have peace.
Even when I cannot escape the reality of hatred in my world, I know that,
in you, O Precious Lord Jesus, I can have peace within myself.
For in the middle of the hatred and horror of our world, I come to you and
find love.
From you, O Lord Jesus, I find comfort.
From you, O Lord Jesus, I can learn to live in peace within my heart.
As it is your will, help all of us bring peace to our home, our workplace,
our nation, and our world.
Remind us to pray often during the day for a shield of protection from the
evil of the world and for a change of heart in those who want to wage war,
to kill, and to maim.
Remind me forever that you are the Prince of Peace.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus
Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can
rely. Amen |
