A Prayer To Give Away Christ's Compassion

Precious Lord Jesus, Wonderful Holy Spirit, Awesome God,
I love you, Lord Jesus.
I need you every hour.
I try to find you with my eyes but I do not see you.
I know in my heart you are with me.
I know in my mind your love is within me.
Touch my heart so I may be open to your presence within me.
Open my heart so I may receive your love.
In all your ways of working in the world, help me see the needs and suffering of those around me.
Let my heart be touched by the needs of others.
Let me be so moved by their circumstances that I reach out to them and to those who are needy.
Open my heart to your sacrifice for me upon the Cross.
Do not let my mind be polluted by the darkness that lurks about me.
Do not let me or any of my loved ones be touched by the darkness that wants to destroy me.
Just as you gave to others, help me also give.
When my heart hurts, help me to help others whose heart also hurts.
Whenever there are needs that are unfilled in others, help me help them to fill those needs.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely.
