I have my worldly treasures.
I have my computer.
I have my monitor.
I have my keyboard.
Ah, what would I do without them?
There is so much stuff in my garage...family heirlooms, antiques, pictures, my list of stuff is endless.
No I don't worship this stuff…but all this stuff has a grip on me.
I also have my plans and programs.
I have my missions and goals.
Precious Lord, in your love and grace, help me get to a point where I can give all this away.
Help me turn away from the worldly attractions so gripping to me and look only at the treasures I have from you.
Help me turn away from the pain, torment, and emptiness of my worldly stuff so gripping to me and look only at the treasures I have from you.
Precious Jesus, what blessings you bring to me!
In the hour of my pain you bring me the real treasure of your comfort.
In the hour of my inner torment you bring me the real treasure of your peace.
In the hour of my loneliness you bring me the real treasure of your presence.
I love you Lord.
All the stuff and material things?
I give all of it away to you because compared to you, the material things are nothing.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely.
