A Prayer To Give Unselfishly To Others
Precious Father,
Precious Lord Jesus,
Wonderful Holy Spirit,
In all my giving, may every moment and every thought of my giving be done
with total unselfishness.
Never let me expect anything back from my giving.
May all my giving be done in total humility, total gratitude, and total
unselfishness before you.
If I ever feel sad because I have given and not received anything back,
hurt my conscience and make me see I am being horribly wrong in wanting to
receive when I give.
To help me give unselfishly in your love, show me how you are in all
things.
Show me how giving to get back is a tragic and sinful flaw in my
character.
Take me to your cross in humility and godly sorrow to help me repent
whenever I give to get back.
In my humility and godly sorrow about my giving to get back, cleanse my
soul from all unrighteousness.
May I always give because your love is in me, not because I want you to
bless me.
