A Prayer About Giving In Pain

Precious Lord, Wonderful Savior, Gracious Heavenly Father,
O how I love you, wonderful Jesus.
I am in pain this hour, yet you are with me.
Let me not be so burdened down with my own pain and suffering that I not put you first above all circumstances.
When I hurt, give me the power to give in spite of the pain.
When the deep waters billow over me and I am certain I shall die, give me the power to give in spite of my plight.
Let my pain be an inspiration to me to give more than I believe I have knowing that you are pushing me on to greater realms where rewards are waiting beyond my wildest dreams.
Let me remain faithful and true to you, and let me move further and let me give more generously without regard for my present circumstances.
When my sufferings turn me inward, let your gentle touch speak to my heart and turn me outward so I can give in your holy name.
Assure me of the sure defeat of the darkness that seeks to strike me down.
Inspire me to give beyond any ability I have to give on my own with my own power.
When I am suffering great trials, let me be giving and be generous without regard for what I may receive in return.
Let the fire of your Holy Spirit consume my thinking and let me surrender generously to the needs of your little ones who so desperately need to see you in me.
I love you, O Lord.
I adore you, Precious One.
All these things I humbly pray.
