A Prayer About Giving To Glorify God
Precious Lord, Wonderful Savior, Gracious Heavenly Father,
Calm my mind.
Quiet my ego.
Remove the voice in me that screams at me to live only for myself.
In your holy and gracious way, bring me next to you so I will hear your
voice in my heart.
Let me not hear the voice of Satan telling me to live for myself.
When I give, let me hear only your angels sing and not the screams of the
evil ones who want me to only take rather than give.
When I give, never let me think about receiving anything in return.
When I give, let the giving be counted only by you, and let me be content
to give without anyone knowing but you.
When I see the needs of others, let me hear your voice in their cries and
not my own voice.
When I hear the needy ones around me, let my ears hear your call to give
without seeking anything in return.
Every day open my heart to those around me who need your touch and let me
give to them in ways that will glorify you, and not myself.
Let your secret ways of giving be done through me and let me not need to
see the end result.
I love you, O Lord.
I adore you, Precious One.
All these things I humbly pray.
