A Prayer About God's Acceptance Beyond Reason

Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God, Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
I know my human ability to reason and think can help me survive and prosper in the future.
However, I also know when I channel my ability to reason and think in the wrong direction then my life can be steeped in terrible destruction for myself and for others.
When I channel my ability to reason and think in the wrong direction I can be hurtful and even dangerous to others.
My ability to reason can often cloud my view of you, Lord.
My ability to reason and think can often keep the truth about you away from my consciousness.
One of the truths about you I find difficult to fathom is how much you accept me.
As dark and terrible as the circumstances of my life can become, you still accept me and love me beyond reason.
As far away from you as I can wander, you are still living within me, still speaking to me, still guiding me, and still calling me to be your own.
Even when I am tempted to turn away from you, you still love me and accept me into your arms if I want to come back to you.
Even when I might want to condemn others to the utter pain of eternal darkness for the same sins I commit, you stand waiting to accept me and love me.
Help me now to accept your acceptance of me.
Help me now see how much you wrap your arms around me, even when I want to run away from you.
Help me now see how much you have always wrapped your arms around me, even when I did not know you were there.
Show me now how much you have always loved me and accepted me.
Show me now how your healing love can heal me of my mistakes and erase the scars upon my life.
I know within my heart no matter what mistakes I make in the future, you will accept me and you will love me.
When others will not accept me, I know you will accept me and love me.
When others did not accept me in the past, you were always there with me…accepting me and loving me beyond my reason and ability to understand.
Help me now accept you into my heart more fully each day.
Thank you, Precious Lord Jesus, for your acceptance beyond reason.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely.
