A Prayer About God's Hope Beyond Reason
Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And
Wonderful God, Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
When all my hope is gone, my human reason and common sense tell me to give
up.
When my times look incredibly bleak, my human reason and common sense tell
me there is no reason to hope.
My human reason tells me there is an end to my life and there is no more.
What I also know within my heart is my human reason is often wrong.
Sometimes my human reason is dead wrong.
Precious Lord, I give you praise for showing me my human reason is wrong
about the times when it seems there is no hope.
As your child, kneeling before you at a time when hope seems to have
vanished in my life, I proclaim before you there shall never be a time in
my life when hope is gone.
Even at my darkest hour, even at the hour just before I shall cross over
in death, I shall have enormous hope, the hope of ages past…the hope I
will see you in Heaven where we shall embrace one another.
What my faith tells me, even when my reason tells me otherwise, is there
is always hope in you and through you…a hope that shall one day become
reality here on earth or in Heaven above.
Thank you, Precious Lord, for hope beyond reason.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus
Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can
rely.
