A Prayer About God's Insulation For Your Grief

Most Precious Lord Jesus…
Gentle And Wonderful God…
Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit…
I have lost someone and my grief overwhelms me.
I know you hold me in your love, even when I hurt from my loss, but I still hurt.
What do I do now?
Where do I go?
Please see my hurt.
Please see my confusion.
Please come into my heart and help me deal with this terrible moment.
Hear my cries.
See my tears.
Please place something in my heart besides my grief.
I hurt, Lord.
Although I know you do not want me to hurt, I am still hurting.
I am grieving.
Although I know you do not want me to grieve, I am still grieving.
I know you lost Jesus.
I know you grieved when He died.
Please insulate me from my grief.
Please put a barrier between me and the hurt.
Help me do the work to let you more fully come into my heart.
Be with me in this dark hour.
Touch me with your healing hand.
Stay with me forever so I have someone to be with me.
I love you Lord Jesus.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely.
