A Prayer About God's Overwhelming Love
Precious Father,
Precious Lord Jesus,
Wonderful Holy Spirit,
My life is full of distractions.
I am pulled in different directions.
My worries consume me.
My wants and needs take me in directions I do not want to go.
My physical nature pushes and pulls at me, sometimes ravaging my soul.
My body suffers with all its aches, pains, and temptations.
In my suffering I am pulled away from you.
Please, Lord Jesus, overwhelm me with your love.
Overwhelm me with yourself.
Open my heart so wide I am overwhelmed by all you are and all you have for
me.
Overwhelm me so all my distractions are no more.
Overwhelm me so I feel your warmth, your comfort, and your overpowering
presence of love so divine.
In the name of God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit
who lives within me and touches me,
