A Prayer About How We Should Grow

Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God, Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit, Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
I have no reason to stay the same although I would like to stay the same.
I want to stay where I am but I know I must grow and move forward.
In order not to grow, I want to tell myself lies that sound good and make me comfortable.
I do not want to grow because I know growing can be painful and growing means I must take chances and risks…chances and risks that make me afraid.
Although I have circumstances, problems, and excuses why I do not want to grow, I know in my heart I must grow and get better if I truly want to be your child.
As your child, help me grow in wisdom and in truth each day.
As I grind out one day after another, inspire me to push hard each day to be more loving, to be more kind, and to be more forgiving.
As I grind out one day after another, inspire me to learn more about you and learn more about your truth.
As I grind out one day after another, inspire me to learn more about others and how I can be more of a servant to them.
Inspire me to grow by conquering every obstacle in your name and in your love.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely.
