A Prayer About Life And Death

Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God, Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
When I was lost and without any love in my heart, you found me and you gave me new life.
When you found me, I began to see other people in a new light, your Light.
When you found me, I began to truly love others.
When you found me, all my hate and anger melted away like the snow melts in the spring.
Whenever I am called by you to do so, enable me to lay down my life for others, just as you have told me to do in your holy word.
So many times, when I am lonely, or tired, or sick of the way things are, I will think about you and then all my problems fade away in your glory and grace.
So many times, when I am overwhelmed by my issues, I start thinking about your suffering on the cross and then my issues don't seem very big any more.
Because you died for me, I have eternal life.
Because you died for me, I know you are the way, the truth, and the life.
Because I have you in my heart, I have a new life lasting forever.
Before I accepted you, I was dead in my heart and I had no life.
But now I know if I ask you for anything, in your will and in your grace, you hear me.
Now I know if I ask you for anything, in your will and in your grace, you will give me an answer.
Your answer is not always what I want as a human being, but your answer will be easy for me to take because your burdens are light.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely.
