A Prayer About Gaining And Losing From
The Past Most Precious Lord Jesus,
Gentle And Wonderful God, Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
My yesterdays define my present.
My present defines my tomorrows.
Who I am right now, what I think right now, how I am right now, how I feel
right now, my visions, hopes, and dreams right now, all grow out of my
past.
In my past rests both the good and the bad.
In my past rests both the blissful and traumatic.
What I am supposed to do is learn from my past but leave the past where
the past belongs…in the past.
In your love, what I can do is siphon off the very best of what was in my
past and throw out the rest.
In your love, what I must do is capitalize on every second of the goodness
of my past and cast off the bad.
In your love, help me use my past to teach me the way of your wisdom.
In your love, help me use my past to guide me today to be more of your
child.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus
Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can
rely.
