A Prayer For An Open Heart And Mind To The Truth

Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God, Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
I know you are good, for I have been blessed when I took refuge in living with your truth.
I know you are good, for you have been my shelter in the time of storms.
I know you are good, for you gave me strength when the truth was more than I could bear to hear.
In trying to live a truthful life, I do not fear you.
However, I do indeed fear not doing your will.
I do indeed fear going in directions you do not want me to go.
Although the darkness may surround me, I know I have your light of truth with me forever.
With your truth, I have no reason to fear.
Open my heart and mind to your truth.
Teach me to fear going my way instead of your way.
Although I do not love the afflictions I must carry in my life, I love the life I have in you.
No matter whether I have afflictions or not, do not let me speak evil and do not let me tell lies to you, to others, or to myself.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely.
