A Prayer About Our Cry For Freedom
Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And
Wonderful God, Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
I do not like to say this but I am all wrapped up in myself.
Please forgive me.
I know I should be different, but at this moment, I feel helpless to do
anything about what is going on in me.
The layers of my life have so wrapped around me I have no escape.
The layers of my always putting myself first have surrounded me and I
cannot move.
The layers of my addictions, my dysfunction, my sicknesses, my illnesses,
my afflictions, my poverty, my sins, and my darkness have put me in a
binding from which I cannot escape.
Please help me.
If you are real, as I believe you are real, help me remove the bindings
that keep me so imprisoned.
In your name and by your power, precious Jesus, I call upon you to touch
my heart.
If you are real, as I believe you are real, come into my heart and set me
free.
In your name and by your power, precious Jesus, I call upon you to touch
my heart.
If you are real, as I believe you are real, help me remove the wrappings
of my selfishness.
In your name and by your power, precious Jesus, I call upon you to touch
my heart.
If you are real, help me see others.
If you are real, help me live in ways that are unselfish.
If you are real, help me cast off this terrible wrapping that I so detest.
If you are real, bring me to your cross every hour.
If you are real, turn my eyes upon you instead of letting me always look
upon myself.
Precious Lord, I seek your favor, for in you I trust there is freedom,
there is power, and there is release from every binding.
In your name and by your power, precious Jesus, I call upon you to touch
my heart.
In you I trust and believe there is love that sets me free.
In you I trust and believe there is freedom from the evil, awful, tragic
things of my life and in the place of evil, awful, tragic things of my
life you have given me a gift to be unwrapped that is the beauty and love
of your being.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus
Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can
rely.
Amen |
