A Prayer About Our Cry For Spiritual Life

Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God, Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
Please hear my cry.
It seems my spirit within me has died, for there is nothing within me but my thoughts.
My body is still alive but my spirit seems to have died.
Everywhere I go, I carry my prison of death in my spirit with me.
I want to cry out to you but I have no voice within me except my own thoughts.

I Know
I know, at least in my mind, you created me.
I know, at least in my mind, you look after me.
I know, at least in my mind, you are alive and living within me.
But right now, in this time and in this place, I have lost you.
Right now, there is nothing in my and nothing in my life for I am empty.
Right now, there is nothing in my future and nothing in my past.
Right now, I can feel my heart beat.
I can breathe.
I can move my eyes.
I can move my hands.
I know I have this power of life within me, and I know I have this power because of you.
I can think, so I know I have this power.
I can create, so I know I have this power.
I know, at least in my mind, the deadness I feel is only a deception.
I know, at least in my mind, the deadness I feel can be made to go away.
I know, at least in my mind and even in my heart, the spark of life that gives me life came from you.

I Affirm
This spark of life, I affirm before you, is you in me this instant.
This spark of life, Precious Lord Jesus, I affirm is touching me this minute.
In my affirmation, I give you praise for giving me this spark of life.
May the tiny spark within me that is you, touch every part of my life.
May the tiny spark within me that is you, touch every part of my soul.
May the energy I feel in my muscles and bones, be a testament to your reality within me.
May the sinful thoughts I think be a testament to the great deceiver's influence in trying to keep you out of my life.

I Give You Praise
I give you praise in this hour of my need, for in you and through your tiny spark within me, I know I shall be set free.
I give you praise in this hour of my need, for in you and through your tiny spark within me, I know you will instill in me the passion to live and cause me to come back to life in my spirit.
I give you praise in this hour of my need, for in you and through your tiny spark within me, I know you give me the power to reach out for help and express my need.

All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely. Amen
