A Prayer About Our Purpose In Christ
Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God, Truly Awesome And
Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
I do not know when you will return upon the earth but I do know you love
me.
I do not know the day or hour of your reappearing but I do know you died
for me.
Thank you, O precious Lord Jesus, for coming to the earth and for
sacrificing all you were for each of us.
May we all fall down before you in love and adoration.
May we all fall down before you in humble contrition over our sinful
lives.
When we think we cannot deal with our life being like it is, remind us you
did not want to go to the Cross.
When we see the horror life can sometimes become, remind us of the bloody
horror you experienced on the Cross for each of us.
When we think we have nowhere to go and no one to turn to in the dark
hours of our distress, remind us you are with us and will remain with us
until we see you face to face.
When we are wrapped up in our own life and in our own troubles, help us to
look past what is in our own life and see the pain and hurt the world
inflicts upon others.
When we do not know what to pray because we are paralyzed by the
circumstances of our life, help us to pray for others.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus
Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can
rely.
