Prayer Of Praise For The Lord's Afflictions

Most Precious Lord Jesus…
Gentle And Wonderful God…
Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit…
Thank you for being with me all these years.
Thank you for being the power that keeps me whole.
Thank you for your love that gives me strength in the middle of my pain and darkness.
I know I could lessen the pain of my life for a day by turning against you.
I know I could take the easy way of seeking only the pleasure of sin for a day.
I know also the easy way of sin for a day is not your way.
I know you have given me afflictions of righteousness.
I know you have given me burdens and afflictions I could abandon if I went my own way.
I know you have given me a hurting heart so I would know the hurt of others.
However, I know you do all things in love.
I know you touch my life and give me afflictions upon afflictions for your good will.
Thank you, Lord Jesus, thank you for giving me such a small and tiny cross to bear for you and for your glory.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely.
Amen
