A Prayer To Sacrifice Selfishness

Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God, Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
When I make mistakes, renew in me a passion to be more righteous.
When I fall down, empower me to get up, brush myself off, and keep running your glorious race.
Inspire me to be a witness to your love.
Inspire me to love others in the hope they will in turn love you.
Inspire me to show others the right way so they will call you Lord.
May I continually sacrifice my selfishness in favor of being unselfish.
May I continually sacrifice my ego in favor of being humble and contrite.
When my spirit is broken, show me how you are the way to my being repaired.
When my heart is broken, come into my heart and supply me with your healing love.
Never let me do evil.
Instill in me a love for righteousness and a disdain for evil.
When I cry out, hear my troubles.
When I cry out, listen to the brokenness of my heart cry.
So many times, my heart is broken, so please be with me.
So many times, my spirit is crushed, so please be with me.
In the past, you have delivered me from all my troubles.
In the future, keep me humble and deliver me from all my troubles once more.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely.
