Matthew 14:22 Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowd. 23 After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. When evening came, he was there alone...(NIV)

A Prayer About Seeing The Savior

Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God, Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
You are the Lamb of God.
When you walked the earth, you were innocent though found guilty by rulers of the earth.
When you walked the earth, you were spotless though found unfit by rulers of the world you created.
When you walked the earth, we did what was unforgivable but you forgave us.
From age to age we have blinded ourselves in our sin and we separated ourselves from your eternal paradise.
Although blind in our sin, you gave us our sight and now we can see heaven as our future home.
In our rebellion, we became lost and we were without a shepherd.
Yet, in spite of our rebellion, you came and gently led us to your cross.
In our sin, we turned away from you.
Yet, your disciples and friends upon the earth helped us see you for who you really are…the savior of the world…our savior, our personal savior who knows our personal name.
I am overcome in my grief over my transgressions against you.
I am full of joy knowing you forgive me.
I am full of joy knowing I shall never die for I know I have eternal life through you.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely.
Amen
