A Prayer To Stop Defensiveness And Self-Centeredness

Most Precious Lord Jesus…
Gentle And Wonderful God…
Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit…
I often feel I am under attack and then I try to stop the attack by being defensive.
I am not open enough about things.
I do not always tell the truth when I am under attack.
I think more of myself than I do of others.
Please help me.
Please touch me and make me more like the open and secure person you want me to be.
Please touch me and help me turn away from who I am.
Please touch me and help me become your humble and contrite child.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely.
Amen
