A Prayer About Stopping Illness
Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And
Wonderful God, Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
You know me.
You know me better than I know myself.
You know I have many physical afflictions over which I seem to have no
control.
In your name and by your power, I come against these disabling conditions.
In your name and by your power, I call down your love from heaven above to
fill my heart with your love, your grace, your mercy, and your holy
presence.
When I am distressed by the seemingly hopeless nature of my afflictions,
touch my heart and give me hope everlasting.
When I am distressed by the endless days of my suffering, touch my heart
and give me the power to fully live each day.
When I am distressed over the prospect of never being well or physically
able again, touch my heart and life and show me each day I have a new life
in you.
May my attitude always reflect my faith in your constant presence in my
life.
May my attitude always reflect my enduring love for you no matter how
difficult my days may be.
May my attitude be a source of power that opens my life to your healing
touch.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus
Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can
rely.
