A Prayer To Tell The Truth About Death
Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God, Truly Awesome And
Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
At one moment I do not fear death.
At another moment I fear the process of dying.
At one moment I cannot fear death for I know I will finally see you face
to face.
At another moment I fear the leaving of this life and going into another
one where I have never been.
Whether I am afraid or not, I am still at peace.
I am at peace in this moment for I know you await me when I cross over
into heaven.
I am not afraid of the fires of hell for you have saved me.
I am not afraid of eternal darkness because you have given me eternal
light.
Thank you, Lord Jesus.
Although my death is the ending of this life on earth, I know in my heart
of hearts my death here is the beginning of beauty in heaven.
Although I do not want to leave others behind, I seek your love and wisdom
to be a witness to them so they will accept you and we will all be
together on your heavenly shores.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus
Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can
rely.
