A Prayer About When Doing For Others Takes Us In The Wrong
Direction
Precious Father,
Precious Lord Jesus,
Wonderful Holy Spirit,
I just discovered something about myself I do not like.
You know me, Lord.
You know I live to help other people.
Today I discovered I have been doing things for others to get attention.
I discovered I have even been doing things for others because I feel
forced and coerced to do things for them.
This is a shock to me.
Please bring me closer to your love and grace.
Show me the way I should go.
I love helping others but I have been making a big mistake in doing so for
ego reasons of my own.
Please take my actions and place upon my actions your hands of love and
power.
Please make me stronger so what I do for others will be done under your
power of love rather than under my selfishness, ego, and greed.
Please make me stronger so what I do for others will be done without
anyone knowing who I am.
In the name of God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit
who lives within me and touches me,
