A Prayer About When God's Love Does Not Erase
A Memory
Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And
Wonderful God, Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
I know your love can do many miracles.
However, I am at a time in my life when your love has not brought me the
miracle of erasing the memories I want and need erased.
Although your love has not erased the memories I want and need erased,
your love places my heart and mind at ease when the memory comes to me.
When I remember a time or an event I want erased, may your healing love
bring me peace, even when I remember.
I affirm your love will bring me power to be more and do more than I ever
thought possible when the memory appears.
I affirm your healing love can give me new memories to store up and new
memories to recall…new memories that stand in stark contrast to the
painful memories I want erased.
In your love, I affirm I need not be haunted by my past if I will let your
love filter into my present.
When I hold your love in my heart, the times, places, and circumstances of
my present take on a new meaning, a new purpose, and a new glow.
In your love and grace, walk with me in the present to use my past as a
teacher and guide about who I am to be and what I am to do as your child
in the present moment.
As I recall the facts of the past, may your love surround me, enfold me,
and envelop me so all the sting and hurt of my past is gone.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus
Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can
rely.
