A Prayer About When You Can't Fix Your Past

Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God, Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Precious Lord Jesus, I love you.
I cannot rewrite my past.
I cannot undo what has been done.
I cannot undo what has happened to me.
I cannot undo what I have done.
In your power, grace, and love, Precious Lord, please give me the power to write whole new chapters of my life in the coming days.
Show me I always have choices to make each day.
Show me I always have opportunities to grow and be better in every part of my life and soul.
In your love, help me cast out the ghosts and demons that seem to haunt me.
In your love, help me to never make excuses about what I have done and what I will do.
In your love, help me to fix the way things are now and to build a future for my life by doing what is right, just, and godly in your eyes.
In your love, show me the future has already started and show me I am always in the palm of your hand.
In your love, keep me humble and teach me all the lessons I should have already learned.
In your love, help me build upon my past, even when my past was not what you or I wanted my past to be.
In your love, help me grow, learn, and make every attempt to use my past moments as a guide for my future.
In your love, help me make every possible effort to never let the darkness dictate the terms of my life.
In your love, show me I really can do something about the way things will be in the next few moments, hours, days, and years to come.
In your love, show me I really can erase the effects of the past.
In your love, pour your love down into my heart so all things are made new each day.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely.
